About Me

I've worked for many employers in several different industries through the years and the one thing I always knew I wanted was to own a successful business. Inspections Midsouth exceeded my expectations.

The experience I gained while working with different employers was invaluable, but I also know I am very independent, a trait I got from my mother… love ya Ma.

The freedom I experience being my own boss is very gratifying. I get to meet a lot people from different walks of life. I get to travel and work when I want to. The only person I answer to is me .. and maybe my wife, love ya babe .

Running a business is not easy, especially in the beginning. It takes discipline, and the learning curve is steep. There are many hats to wear and multiple responsibilities. Every day brings it's own set of challenges. All I can say is that I stuck with it, learned from my mistakes, didn't take stuff personal, and the rest took care of itself.

The History

In 2018 I was not happy at work and needed a change. Having worked as an independent contractor for a large delivery company between 2009 and 2013, I wanted to find something I could do on my own once again. Except this time I wanted it to be a business.

A fortuitous event took place, although I believe things happen for a reason, when I learned about field inspections from an acquaintance I met at a book club. I checked out his website, gave him a call, asked a few questions, and the conversation lead me to visit the Society of Field Inspectors, a.k.a. SoFI.

Field inspections seemed like a perfect fit given all my work experience through the years, although I probably could have done this work without the experience. I bought the book and started calling insurance inspection companies.

Long story short, I was blessed enough to have a loving wife and a flexible boss that allowed me to work part time in the mornings while I did insurance inspections in the afternoon. I used the 4th quarter of 2018 to build up cash reserves and in January 2019, I went full time. There are no regrets, I now own and operate my own business ~ Inspections Midsouth!
